For those of you who do not know yet, my big sister Jacqueline died on Saturday from lung cancer after being diagnosed a year or so ago. She had made a great recovery since last year and was once again enjoying an active and fairly independent life. However the disease caught up with her quite rapidly in the last week so she had to go into hospital again last Thursday. She was still fine, and her usual positive and slightly amused self until Saturday morning when she finally had to leave us.
It didn’t drag on and as usual she did her bit with a minimum of fuss.
There will be a short celebration of her life at Callander Kirk (Church of Scotland) Perthshire this Friday 12th July at 11am followed by the burial of her body at Callander Cemetery. There will be a gathering afterwards with tea and sandwiches etc. at Callander Golf Club. No flowers please but there will an opportunity at the service to donate to her chosen charity which is the Tearfund Project in Chad, Africa
Thank you for being part of her very full life.
